父母天職 God Ordained Parental Duty

詩篇 Psalm 127

[1] 若不是耶和華建造房屋，建造的人就枉然勞力．若不是耶和華看守城池，看守的人就枉然儆醒。[2] 你們清晨早起，夜晚安歇，喫勞碌得來的飯，本是枉然．惟有耶和華所親愛的，必叫他安然睡覺。[3] 兒女是耶和華所賜的產業．所懷的胎，是他所給的賞賜。[4] 少年時所生的兒女，好像勇士手中的箭。[5] 箭袋充滿的人，便為有福．他們在城門口，和仇敵說話的時候，必不至於羞愧。

[1] Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. [2] In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves. [3] Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. [4] Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. [5] Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

一 持家原則 Principles for Maintaining the home

            1 以神為家庭的主 God as the head of your home

[1] 若不是耶和華建造房屋，建造的人就枉然勞力．若不是耶和華看守城池，看守的人就枉然儆醒。

[1] Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.

            2 以神為工作的主 God as the Lord of your job

[2] 你們清晨早起，夜晚安歇，喫勞碌得來的飯，本是枉然．惟有耶和華所親愛的，必叫他安然睡覺。

[2] In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves.

二 親子關係 Parent/Child relationship

1兒女是神的產業, 父母是管家 Children are God’s heritage, Parents are God’s stewards

                        [3] 兒女是耶和華所賜的產業…..

                        [3] Sons are a heritage from the LORD,….

2 兒女是神的賞賜, 父母是得獎人 Children are God’s gifts to parents

[3] ……所懷的胎，是他所給的賞賜。

[3] ……children a reward from him.

三 教養目標 Child-raising goals

1 德育生長為導向 The pursuit of moral character building and spiritual growth

                        [4] 少年時所生的兒女，好像勇士手中的箭。

                        [4] Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth.

            2 靈裏得勝為至榮 Spiritual victory be the most glorious end result

[5] 箭袋充滿的人，便為有福．他們在城門口，和仇敵說話的時候，必不至於羞愧。
