Seven Hindrances to Biblical Rest

聖經中的安息的七項攔阻

Matthew 11

馬太福音 11

Matthew 馬太福音11 2-5

n       2  When John heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples

n       3  to ask him, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?“

n       4  Jesus replied, "Go back and report to John what you hear and see:

n       5  The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.

n       2 約翰在監裡聽見基督所作的事，就打發兩個門徒去，

n       3 問他說，那將要來的是你麼，還是我們等候別人呢。

n       4 耶穌回答說，你們去把所聽見所看見的事告訴約翰．

n       5 就是瞎子看見，瘸子行走，長大痳瘋的潔淨，聾子聽見，死人復活，窮人有福音傳給他們。

Matthew馬太福音11:2-3

n       John the Baptist is the forerunner of Christ and the Kingdom 施洗約翰 是基督和國度的先鋒

n       The Kingdom is here . . . Look at the signs 看這些神蹟 國度已經在此

n       John in prison, about to be beheaded約翰在監 將要殉道

n       1) A person who is confused about their calling, or disappointed in the process of their calling, will be unable to rest.

         對被呼召有疑惑或是在被呼召的過程中失望的人 是無法有安息

Matthew馬太福音11:6

n       6  Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.“凡不因我跌倒的，就有福了。

n       KJV: offended 欽定本:違犯

n       Greek: skandalizo - to entrap, i.e. trip up (fig. stumble or entice to sin, apostasy or displeasure) 希臘文: 陷入, 跌倒, 背叛, 不滿

n       2) A person who is “tripped up”  or offended over unfulfilled expectations, will be unable to rest. 為著不能實現的盼望而跌倒或犯罪的人 是無法有安息

Matthew馬太福音11:11

n       11  I tell you the truth: Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 我實在告訴你們，凡婦人所生的，沒有一個興起來大過施洗約翰的．然而天國裡最小的，比他還大。

n       Greek: meizon - larger (literally or figuratively, spec. in age) 希臘文: 大過

n       3) A person who fails to see their stature in the Kingdom, will continue to strive instead of rest.

        不明白自己在國度中的地位 而不停止的追求的人 是無法有安息

Matthew 馬太福音11:12

n       12  From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. 從施洗約翰的時候到如今，天國是努力
    進入的，努力的人就得著了。

n       Forceful: like yeast in bread expands 努力好像麵酵發起

n       Greek: harpazo – to seize 希臘文: 奪取

n       4) The way to obtain rest, is by seizing the Kingdom 要緊握國度才能得到安息

Matthew馬太福音11:16-17

n       16  "To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others: 我可用甚麼比這世代呢．好像孩童坐在街市上，
     招呼同伴，說，

n       17  "'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn.‘我們向你們吹笛，你們不跳舞．我們向你們舉哀，你們不捶胸。

n       5) People who want to control the lives of others cannot rest. 想要掌管別人的生命的人是無法有安息

Matthew馬太福音11:18-19

n       18  For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.‘約翰來了，也不喫，也不喝，人就說他是被鬼附著的。

n       19  The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." ' But wisdom is proved right by her
          actions."人子來了，也喫，也暍，人又說他是貪食好酒的人，是稅吏和罪人的朋友．但智慧之子，總以智慧為是。

n       6) People who are critical & judgmental are unable to rest. 批評和論斷人的人是無法有安息

Matthew馬太福音11:20-24

21  "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and
        ashes. 哥拉汛哪，你有禍了，伯賽大阿，你有禍了，因為在你們中間所行的異能，若行在推羅西頓，他們早已披麻蒙灰悔改了。

n       7) People who live in unbelief – even after seeing a demonstration of the Kingdom, are unable to rest.

        即使眼見國度的張顯 不信的人 是無法有安息

Seven Hindrances 七項攔阻

n       1) confused or disappointed in the process of their calling 在被呼召的過程中疑惑或失望

n       2)“tripped up”  or offended over unfulfilled expectations 為著不能實現的盼望而跌倒或犯罪

n       3) A person who fails to see their stature in the Kingdom不明白自己在國度中的地位

n       4) unable to seize the Kingdom 無法緊握國度

n       5) controlling people 掌管別人

n       6) critical/judgmental people 批評和論斷人

n       7) unbelief even after encountering a demonstration of the Kingdom.  眼見國度的張顯 仍然不信
